We helped this UK-based HR consultancy transform its prospecting strategy with Microsoft 365 Copilot, building intelligent agents, automating campaign creation, and empowering consultants with reusable tools and training.

Requirement

Our customer – a specialist HR technology consultancy supporting organisations with digital transformation, system selection, and digital reviews – needed to modernise its approach to prospecting and client engagement. With a lean team and a growing client base, the existing outreach process was heavily manual, time-consuming, and difficult to scale. The team wanted to move beyond generic campaigns and cold outreach, and instead develop a more intelligent, targeted, and consultative approach that reflected their brand and expertise.

They were particularly focused on identifying prospects who were likely to be entering a system review or selection cycle – often triggered by leadership changes, investment rounds, or strategic shifts. The goal was to use AI to surface these signals, generate tailored outreach sequences, and reduce the reliance on traditional marketing headcount.

Approach

Working alongside the customer’s MSP partner, we delivered a programme focused on building AI agents that could support prospecting, campaign generation, and strategic outreach. The solution combined Microsoft Copilot’s Researcher and Analyst agents with custom-built agents tailored to the customer’s tone, services, and workflows.

Key elements of the solution included:

  • Custom Copilot agents designed to generate multi-step email sequences aligned with the customer’s consultative tone and service offerings
  • Use of Microsoft’s Researcher agent to identify prospects based on market signals such as leadership changes, funding rounds, and strategic announcements
  • Development of reusable instruction sets, including tone-of-voice guidelines and campaign templates, to ensure consistency and scalability
  • Training and workshops to upskill the team in prompt engineering, agent configuration, and iterative refinement of AI outputs
  • Exploration of autonomous agents for future use cases, including contract review and RFP response support

The team also created a structured process for feeding prospect data into agents, refining outputs, and aligning campaigns with specific personas and services. As the customer noted, “It’s still our process – we’re just getting to the same output faster and smarter.”

Outcome

The project delivered immediate and lasting impact across the customer’s sales and marketing functions. The team moved from reactive outreach to proactive engagement, using AI to surface opportunities and generate tailored content with minimal manual effort.

Key outcomes included:
